Our Board of Education consists of board members elected by the citizens of the district and acts to establish policies that govern the operation of the school district.
All meeting notices are posted here, on our website. Regular meetings of the Board of Education are scheduled on the 2nd Monday of each month beginning at 6 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Meetings take place at the LMC in the Intermediate Building, 103 Matthews Drive, Gilbert, Iowa. Special meetings are also called when necessary.
Board agendas are posted in advance on our website. Special provisions apply in the case of an emergency meeting.
Minutes are recorded by the board secretary and represent official actions taken by the board, but do not include verbatim transcripts of conversations and discussions from each meeting. Minutes are posted on our website.
All regular and special meetings are open to the public. Individuals or groups wishing to place an item on the agenda should contact Superintendent. To be included on the regular meeting agenda, a request must be received no later than 7 calendar days prior to the meeting. Each month the board of education will stream their meetings live. Recordings will be made available for past meetings and forums. This will be available to the public for no less than two months after each meeting.
